GTA 6 stunt jumps — what the series history tells us

Updated 2026-11-03

Jumps have been around a long time

Stunt jumps are one of the most consistent collectibles in Grand Theft Auto. Hit a ramp at the right speed, the camera slows down, and if you land it, the game counts it. Miss, and you go around for another try.

The recent numbers look like this:

  • GTA San Andreas had 70 unique stunt jumps.
  • GTA IV had 50.
  • GTA V had 50.

That's a steady presence across three major releases, which is why we set up a stunt jumps category before launch.

What we know for GTA VI

Rockstar has not announced stunt jumps for GTA VI. No count, no locations, nothing about how they work. Our guess is that they'll return because they've been a fixture for so long, but it is a guess. If they don't show up, we'll retire the category.

Habits that help with any jump

None of this is specific to GTA VI. It's what tends to work whenever a game asks you to launch a vehicle off a ramp.

Pick the right vehicle. Motorcycles are the usual choice. They're fast, light and easy to line up with a narrow ramp. A sports car works for long, wide jumps. Heavy vehicles tend to fall short.

Line up before you speed up. Most failed jumps come from hitting the ramp at an angle. Back off, approach in a straight line, and only then go full throttle.

More speed isn't always better. If a jump wants you to land in a particular area, too much speed overshoots it. If you keep sailing past the target, ease off a little.

Look at the landing first. Before trying a jump, drive or walk to the other side. Knowing what's waiting there saves a lot of retries.

Clear the road. A car pulling out at the bottom of a ramp ruins a good attempt. Wait a moment for traffic to pass.

Plan them by area

Stunt jumps are usually spread across the whole map, so collect them the same way you'd collect anything else. Pick a region, do every jump there, then move on. Mark each one found on the map as you go so you don't double back later.

They're also a good break from slower hunts. A few jumps between sweeps for small hidden items keeps a 100% run from going stale.

Reporting a jump

There are no jump locations on the map before launch on 19 November 2026. After release, if you land one we don't have yet, post it on the Finds board of the forum. Use "copy map link" to point at the ramp, describe which direction you approached from, and mention the vehicle that worked.

Moderators confirm finds before they become markers. Until we've landed it ourselves, it will show as "reported." Once we have, it moves to "verified" with our own screenshot.
