GTA 6 under-the-bridge flights — what to expect
Updated 2026-11-03
A GTA V favorite
GTA V asked pilots to do something that sounds simple and isn't: fly under 50 bridges. It also had 15 knife flights, which meant threading an aircraft through tight gaps, usually tilted on its side. Both were tracked as part of the game, and both caused a lot of crashes.
They stood out because they were less about finding something and more about pulling it off.
What's known for GTA VI
Rockstar has not announced bridge flights, knife flights or any other collectible for GTA VI. We don't know how flying works in the game. The bridge flights category exists because GTA V made it a familiar idea, not because of anything confirmed.
Our guess is that a map with plenty of water would have plenty of bridges, and that's an obvious setup for a challenge like this. It's still a guess.
Habits that help with any bridge flight
These come from flying in earlier games, so treat them as a starting point:
Slower is safer. The fastest aircraft is rarely the best choice. Something slow and steady gives you time to correct your line.
Line up from far out. Start your approach well before the bridge, level and centered. Most crashes come from trying to adjust at the last second.
Scout the gap first. Drive or boat under the bridge before flying it. You'll see how much room there really is, and whether anything is in the way.
Watch for obstacles. Boats, cables, supports and other traffic can turn a clean run into a crash. Check what's around the bridge, not just the gap itself.
Fly low early. Drop to the right height well before the bridge, then hold it. Diving at the last moment is hard to control.
Know what counts. We don't know whether GTA VI, if it has these at all, would count every type of aircraft. Once players work that out, we'll note it on the category page.
Plan your route
Bridges tend to cluster along rivers, canals and coastlines. Plan a route that follows the water and takes them in order, instead of flying back and forth across the map. Mark each one found on the map as you go so you know where to pick up next time.
If you have trouble with a particular one, skip it and come back later. A fresh attempt usually goes better than the tenth in a row.
Reporting a flight
There are no bridge locations on the map before launch on 19 November 2026. After release, if you complete one we don't have yet, post it on the Finds board of the forum. Use "copy map link" to mark the bridge, say which direction you flew, and mention the aircraft you used.
Moderators confirm finds before they become markers. It'll show as "reported" until we've flown it ourselves and taken our own screenshot. Your progress shows up on the checklist.
