What we know about GTA 6 collectibles before launch
Updated 2026-11-01
Nothing is confirmed yet
Let's start with the honest part. Rockstar has not announced any collectibles for GTA VI. No hidden packages, no stunt jumps, no photo challenges, nothing. Everything you read about GTA VI collectibles right now, here or anywhere else, is a guess until the game is in players' hands.
What we do know is the basics. GTA VI releases on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It's set in the state of Leonida, which includes Vice City, and Rockstar's trailers introduced two protagonists, Lucia and Jason. That's the full list of facts this site works from.
What the series suggests
Grand Theft Auto has shipped some kind of collectible hunt in most of its major releases, and the numbers give a sense of scale:
- GTA Vice City (2002) had 100 hidden packages.
- GTA San Andreas had 100 spray-paint tags, 50 snapshots, 50 horseshoes, 50 oysters and 70 unique stunt jumps.
- GTA IV had 200 pigeons, the "flying rats," plus 50 unique stunt jumps.
- GTA V had 50 spaceship parts, 50 letter scraps, 30 submarine pieces, 30 nuclear waste barrels, 50 stunt jumps, 50 under-the-bridge flights and 15 knife flights. The 2014 re-release added a wildlife photography challenge.
Red Dead Redemption 2 leaned into collecting too, with 30 dinosaur bones, 20 dreamcatchers, 10 rock carvings and 144 cigarette cards.
Our guess, based on that history, is that GTA VI will have several collectible types spread across the map, and that at least one of them will connect to the story in some way. That's a guess, not something we'd bet on.
How we set up our categories
We built the site around categories that past games make plausible: hidden packages, stunt jumps, wildlife photos, graffiti tags, underwater finds, bridge flights, landmark photos, letters and notes, rampages, vehicle exports, strangers and side characters, mystery items and trading cards.
Some of these may not exist in GTA VI. Others might show up that we never planned for. When that happens we'll rename, merge or add categories to match what's actually in the game, and drop the ones that turn out to be empty.
How the map will fill in
There are no locations on the map right now, and that's on purpose. We don't want to pin guesses onto a map people will use to plan their time.
After launch, every marker gets one of three labels. "Rumoured" means unconfirmed. "Reported" means a player posted it and we haven't checked it yet. "Verified" means we saw it in-game ourselves, and we take our own screenshots for those. Finds posted on the forum get confirmed by moderators before they become markers.
What you can do now
Browse the categories to see how the site is organized, and open the checklist so you know where your progress will live. If you have a theory about what GTA VI will include, the General board on the forum is the place for it. Just keep in mind that until 19 November, all of us are guessing.
